Description:When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is – that she is a sinner."Luke 7:36-39 [NIV]4 SIGNS OF HER BEING SWEETLY BROKEN1 // she worshiped boldly•A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house.Luke 7:37a [NIV]2 // she worshiped humbly•As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears.Luke 7:38a [NIV]3 // she worshiped honestly•Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. Now which of them will love him more?” Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.” “You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.Luke 7:40-43 [NIV]Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven – for she loved much. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.” Luke 7:44-47 [NIV]Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven. Description:For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.JOHN 3:16 [KJV]to be certain you are going to heaven1) recognize God's Love.“God SO LOVED the world...”• God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.1 JOHN 4:9-10 [NLT]• See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!1 JOHN 3:1A [NLT]2) receive God's Gift.“he GAVE his only begotten Son...”• Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin.ROMANS 3:24-25 [MSG]• God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God’s goodness into us!2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 [LB]3) respond to God's Offer.“WHOSOEVER BELIEVES in him...”• For the free gift of eternal salvation is now being offered to everyone.TITUS 2:11 [LB]• God says he will accept and acquit us – declare us "not guilty" – if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like.ROMANS 3:22B [LB]4) rely on God's Promise.“should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE.”• We are now members of God's own family. And God has reserved for his children the priceless gift of eternal life; it is kept in heaven for you. And God, in his mighty power, will make sure that you get there safely to receive it, because you are trusting him.1 PETER 1:3B,4A,5A [LB]• What a God we have! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven – and the future starts now!1 PETER 1:3A,4 [MSG]

Description:And regarding the question, friends, that has come up about what happens to those already dead and buried, we don’t want you in the dark any longer. First off, you must not carry on over them like people who have nothing to look forward to, as if the grave were the last word. Since Jesus died and broke loose from the grave, God will most certainly bring back to life those who died in Jesus.1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-14 [MSG]I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.PHILIPPIANS 1:20-24 [NIV]what does the bible tells us about death?1) death can be faced with courage.• I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.PHILIPPIANS 1:20 [NIV]2) death is gain.• For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.PHILIPPIANS 1:21 [NIV]3) death is not the end.• I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far.PHILIPPIANS 1:23 [NIV]
